
Jerome Schmitt - Mastering Engineer.
Jerome Schmitt has been doing mastering for the last 12 years with an active background in music production and sound engineer spanning over 16 year.
Jerome started his career in the music industry as a lead guitarist and producer in the rock band Corpus Delicti in 1993. After producing the band's three albums and touring around the globe, Jerome focused in on his studio debuts behind the desk as a mixing and mastering Engineer at the Millenium Studio in the South of France, in 1997.
Throughout all those years, Jerome still managed to established himself writing and producing soundtracks for TV and film as well as sound design for video projects for Sony Music & Virgin including Busta Flex, Disiz La Peste & Nadyia, Orange, various film trailers... His own solo project Gom - published by Just Isn't Music (Ninja Tune) and Sonix Music Ltd - develops a unique blend of trip hop, electronica and nu-jazzy post-electronica.
Jerome made his way to London in 2001, and found himself producing and mixing for various South London Hip Hop artists before he started working in a busy post production facility in Soho - London - doing mainly audio mastering on a Sadie System as well as sound editing/mixing for broadcast TV and DVD authoring (C4, BBC, Sky, ... ). At this time Jerome works on most of the Ninja Tune and Big Dada's catalogue (Amon Tobin, Luke Vibert, Hexstatic, Diplo, Cinematic Orchestra… ) and Hydrogen Dukebox catalog (The Creatures, A1 People, Metamatics, Plumbline….).
In 2006 Jerome decide to open his own mastering room in order to provide to independent artist affordable but high end mastering service. Air Mastering was born... The studio has a large independent based clientele and slowly but surely establishing itself for its unique sonic quality.
Jerome has also been resident mastering engineer and consultant for Miloco's mastering studios "Blue Pro Mastering" for the last 4 years.
